- In first place, Quechua is not a language, it's a dialect continuum (Series of dialects that are.mutually intelligible only in close cities), the greater the distance between places in which both are spoken, the less intelligible it is.

For example the Quechua from Cuzco can be useful in Puno but can't be understood in Huaraz or Quito.

- In second plae, it's not useless, it's archaic.
